Areca of bananas and seagrass estimated as cheap and common material in Vietnamese countryside, normally are thrown out and now are harvested, dryed up and can be sold. Then by skillful hands of artisans, these materials are treated and turned into preferred handicraft products. That is multi-step process from selecting suitably long areca, airing and sulphur drying. Each 12 kgs fresh areca engenders 1 kg dryed one.
